April - National Poetry Month

I'm reviving this blog for April, which is National Poetry Month. I am joining my friend Susanne, and the folks at poetry.org in writing a poem a day this month.

We'll see.

I began a poem yesterday, so I'm not quite behind yet. These poems will be first drafts. (What do you expect with a poem a day?!) So here's yesterday's, a triolet:

Words

The words we use and think are true
Are often simply what we’ve got,
But they become the glue.
The words we use and think are true,
If listened to, reveal clues,
As tendrils cling to roots of thought.
